Chaz vs Venmo, Zelle & Cash App

Paid by Venmo, Zelle or Cash App? Here's what you're missing.

Payment apps are cheap and your customers already have them. But they can't send an invoice, remember which job a payment was for, or put your business in front of new customers.

Invoices, not “who sent this?”

Chaz sends a pay-by-link invoice by text or email for each job. The customer pays by card, with no app or login needed, and the payment lands on the right job.

Your customer pays by credit card, safely

Zelle can't take a credit card, and a credit card payment on Venmo or Cash App costs your customer 3% and can count as a cash advance. With Chaz it's a normal card purchase, and you can keep the card on file and charge it when the job is done.

More than a payment

Chaz is also your website, your schedule and your customer chat, in English or Spanish, for $0 a month.

Chaz isn't for everyone. If one of these sounds like your business, stay where you are.

  • You do a few jobs a month, mostly for friends and family.
  • Your customers would rather not pay a $1.75 service fee.
  • You never need an invoice, a receipt or a record of which job a payment was for.

Common questions

Is Chaz really free for my business?

Yes. There's no subscription, no contract, no setup fee and no per-user fee, and Chaz doesn't take a cut of your jobs. Stripe's standard card processing applies to the payments you collect, as it does with any app that takes cards.

What does my customer pay?

A flat $1.75 service fee per payment, shown at checkout before they pay. That fee is how Chaz makes money.

Who handles the card payments?

Stripe. You connect your own Stripe account, payouts go to your bank, and Stripe's standard rates apply. Haven't set up Stripe yet? Chaz Collect holds your customers' payments for you and sends them to your bank once Stripe verifies you.
